Abstract

The way in which homosexuals are presented in cinema usually falls into stereotypes and clichés, which limits identity of these characters to a box from which, in time, they do not escape. In case of Pedro Almodóvar’s cinema, we have a great exception: homosexuals and transsexuals are not hermetically packaged to bepermanently cloned. On contrary, homosexual construction in Almodóvar has modified over the years, although it retains common characteristics in some issues and shows new ones in others.
